West River wins RM22.56mil sub-contract from China State Construction


PETALING JAYA: West River Bhd has received a letter of award (LOA) from China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd for a sub-contract valued at approximately RM22.56mil.

In a statement, the electrical engineering and intelligent building solutions provider said the sub-contract involves electrical works for a consumer landing station (CLS) forming part of a data centre development located at the SILC Industrial Area in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

Under the sub-contract, West River said it will undertake the design, supply, execution, completion, handover and maintenance of the CLS electrical works.

“The sub-contract period commenced on June 20, 2026 and is scheduled for completion by Oct 30, 2026.”

West River said the award strengthens its involvement in data center electrical infrastructure and builds on the group’s established capabilities in mechanical and electrical engineering.

“Data centre developments require reliable electrical systems, disciplined project coordination and strict adherence to technical and delivery requirements.”
