KUALA LUMPUR: 118 Mall hosted its inaugural Retailers' Get-Together, bringing together more than 200 retail partners ahead of its scheduled opening in November 2026.

In a statement, PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Bhd said the event, held at Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, brought together retailers across fashion, food and beverage, lifestyle and services to share updates on the development of the 118 Mall and the wider Merdeka 118 precinct.

Among the participating retailers were Village Grocer, Makanism Foodhall, adidas, ALDO, Converse, Foot Locker, Guess, Lacoste, Benjamin Barker, CHAGEE Signature, Best Denki, BookXcess and Babyshop, as well as Malaysian Artisan District (M.A.D) brands.

PNB Merdeka Ventures chief executive officer Datuk Ir. Ts. Izwan Ibrahim said the mall is designed as part of the integrated Merdeka 118 precinct, combining retail, hospitality, tourism, heritage and commercial offerings to attract a broad mix of visitors.

“What truly distinguishes 118 Mall is the strength of the wider Merdeka 118 ecosystem. The mall is uniquely positioned to capture a dynamic mix of footfall, drawing tourists, luxury hotel guests, corporate professionals and the local community.

“This diverse visitor base provides us with tremendous confidence in the long-term, shared prosperity we can build together with our retail partners,” he said.

Meanwhile, 118 Mall head of retail Sue Wang said the mall will feature more than 300 retail outlets, including the Malaysian Artisan District, which will showcase local brands alongside international names.

“In our inaugural year, we anticipate welcoming up to 22 million visitors, fueled by the distinctive advantages of the broader Merdeka 118 precinct.

“We are dedicated to driving sustained footfall that delivers enduring commercial value for all our retail partners," she added.

She added that the mall is expected to welcome up to 22 million visitors in its first year of operations.

The statement added that retailers were also briefed on upcoming marketing and promotional opportunities, including the use of the mall's digital displays and event spaces for brand activations.

Located adjacent to Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur, the seven-storey 118 Mall is slated to open in November 2026.
