Vantris Energy secures RM830mil in new oil and gas contracts

PETALING JAYA: Integrated oil and gas outfit Vantris Energy Bhd has been awarded work totalling RM830mil under the company’s engineering and construction as well as drilling segments.

The company announced in a stock exchange filing that PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd has awarded a work order for the provision of transportation and installation under an existing contract that commenced in the company’s second quarter ended July 31, 2026 (2QFY27) and to be completed in 3QFY28.

It has also received notice of assignment for the rig Sapura Esperanza from PETRONAS Carigali under an existing contract to provide tender-assisted drilling rig services. The assignment commences in 3QFY27.

The company added that a new contract has been awarded by Vestigo Petroleum Sdn Bhd for the provision of tender-assisted drilling rig services for the rig Sapura Jaya commencing 3QFY27.

Vantris chief executive officer Muhammad Zamri Jusoh said in a media release that the company enters into the new financial year with a clearer strategic direction and a stronger operational foundation following the completion of a restructuring. Vantris was formerly known as Sapura Energy Bhd.

“These awards reflect the continued progress we are making in rebuilding the business through disciplined and focused execution,” he said.
