KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) has appointed Datuk Badrul Hisham Mohd as its director-general or DG, effective Aug 3, 2026, succeeding Datuk Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir, who has retired.
In a statement, MPOB said Badrul Hisham has nearly three decades of experience in the administrative and diplomatic service, having been involved in policy formulation, the development of the agricultural and plantation sectors, and strategic management across various ministries.
It said that under Badrul Hisham’s leadership, MPOB will continue to strengthen its three strategic pillars of research and development, namely, high income, value addition and sustainable development.
“It will solidify Malaysia’s palm oil sustainability agenda on the international stage,” the agency said. — Bernama
