KUALA LUMPUR: Vantage Data Centers, backed by US alternative asset manager DigitalBridge Group Inc, is considering selling its assets in Malaysia, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
The provider of hyperscale data centre (DC) campuses is working with a financial adviser on the planned divestment, said the people, asking not to be identified because the process was private.
A transaction could value the Vantage assets in the South-East Asian nation at more than US$2bil (RM8.2bil), the people said.
Considerations are ongoing and Vantage could opt to keep its assets in Malaysia, the people said.
Representatives from Vantage and DigitalBridge didn’t respond to requests seeking comment.
