SHH buys Johor land for RM45.37mil


PETALING JAYA: Sunway Healthcare Holdings Bhd’s (SHH) 99.9%-owned subsidiary, Sunway Medical Centre Sdn Bhd, has signed a sale and purchase agreement to acquire four freehold land parcels totalling approximately 9.918 acres in Sunway City Iskandar Puteri, Johor, for RM45.37mil.

The land is being acquired from Sunway Marketplace Sdn Bhd, Sunway Parkview Sdn Bhd and Sunway Iskandar Sdn Bhd, all related companies within the Sunway group.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, SHH said the proposed acquisition is in line with the group’s overall strategy to expand its network of tertiary hospitals.

SHH said growth prospects for the healthcare sector are likely to be positive over the long term.
