KUALA LUMPUR: Proton has opened 10 new outlets across Malaysia over a 10-day period, comprising four Proton outlets and six Proton e.MAS outlets, as it expands its sales, aftersales and electric vehicle (EV) support network.
In a statement, the national carmaker said the new facilities are located across the Central, Northern, Southern, East Coast and East Malaysia regions.
They include sales and customer centres, mall-based showrooms, integrated 3S and 4S facilities, an urban brand centre and a mini 3S outlet.
“The 10 new facilities represent a combined dealer investment of RM15.9mil and create 210 job opportunities across sales, aftersales, technical and customer service functions,” Proton said.
As at June 2026, Proton's nationwide network comprised 195 sales outlets, including 178 integrated 3S and 4S centres.
The Proton e.MAS network consisted of 58 dealerships, 45 service centres and 10 Body & Paint centres.
Deputy chief executive officer Datuk Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa said the different outlet formats were introduced to meet the needs of urban and regional markets while supporting customers across internal combustion engine (ICE), electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models.
“Customer convenience is shaped by both proximity and the quality of support available. Our objective is not simply to add more locations, but to ensure each outlet responds to the needs of its local market and provides customers with a professional and dependable experience.
“Opening 10 outlets within 10 days reflects the close coordination between Proton, Proton e.MAS and our dealer partners. The range of outlet formats enables us to improve accessibility in busy urban locations while strengthening integrated sales and aftersales support in regional markets,” he said.
The newly opened outlets are located in Adda Heights and Batu Pahat in Johor, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Jalan Sultan Ismail and Kota Damansara in the Klang Valley, Temerloh in Pahang, Kuala Nerus in Terengganu, Kulim in Kedah, Taiping in Perak and Batu Kawa in Sarawak.
