TSR Capital wins RM130mil highway job


PETALING JAYA: TSR Capital Bhd has secured a contract from AFA Construction and Engineering Sdn Bhd for works relating to the widening of the Kuala Lumpur - Karak Highway, worth RM130mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the construction and property development firm said the contract is for a duration of 24 months and is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2028.

“The scope of works under the contract includes the construction and completion of earthworks and other associated works for Package 2B for the project, known as the "Proposed Widening of Kuala Lumpur - Karak Highway from KM19.20 to KM39.00 (Section 1) and from KM39.00 to KM64.50 (Section 2).

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the board of directors of TSR is of the opinion that the contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial years ending June 30, 2027, and over the duration of the project.”
