Hartanah Kenyalang bags RM284mil construction job

PETALING JAYA: Hartanah Kenyalang Bhd has secured a contract from the Public Works Department Sarawak for the construction of Wisma JKR Sarawak in Kuching, Sarawak, worth RM283.9mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the construction firm said the contract, which was secured by wholly-owned subsidiary Hartanah Construction Sdn Bhd, is its largest contract to date.

“The contract period is 30 months and the project is scheduled to commence on July 23, 2026.

“Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial year ending Oct 31, 2026 and until the completion of the project.”

Hartanah Kenyalang said the contract will not have any effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of the company and its subsidiaries.

“The board of directors of Hartanah Kenyalang is of the opinion that the acceptance of the contract is in the best interest of the group.”
