Master Tec wins RM110mil TNB job extension


PETALING JAYA: Master TEC Group Bhd has secured a RM109.54mil contract extension from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) to continue supplying underground cables and conductors for the utility’s distribution network division.

In a statement, the cable manufacturer said the contract was awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary, Master Tec Wire & Cable Sdn Bhd, and forms part of contract TNB104/2025. The original contract was valued at RM107.75mil.

Including subsequent addendums and the latest extension, the total contract framework value now stands at approximately RM251.94mil. Chief executive officer Tee Kok Hwa said the extension validates the group’s manufacturing capabilities and its ability to support national-scale power infrastructure projects.

As at July 7, Master Tec’s manufacturing arm had an outstanding order book of RM231.65mil.
