MASkargo, Qatar Airways Cargo expand tie-up

MASkargo said the collaboration strengthens Kuala Lumpur’s position as a regional cargo gateway.

KUALA LUMPUR: MAB Kargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo) has expanded its strategic partnership with Qatar Airways Cargo with the launch of a dedicated twice- weekly freighter service connecting Kuala Lumpur, Bengaluru and Doha.

The new service, operated by Qatar Airways Cargo’s Boeing 777 freighters on the KUL-BLR-DOH-KUL route, provides an additional 200 tonnes of weekly cargo capacity for general cargo, perishables, pharmaceuticals and valuables.

MASkargo said the collaboration strengthens Kuala Lumpur’s position as a regional cargo gateway while enhancing connectivity to key markets across Asia, Europe and North America by combining its regional network with Qatar Airways Cargo’s global reach.

MASkargo chief executive officer (CEO) Mark Jason Thomas said the collaboration supports the company’s strategy to optimise its cargo network through improved connectivity, greater operational flexibility and more agile logistics solutions.

The CEO said this collaboration reflects MASkargo’s commitment to strengthening Kuala Lumpur’s position as a strategic cargo gateway connecting Asia with key global trade lanes.
