Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd president and chief executive officer Datuk Khairul Kamarudin

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd has launched its new M-Zahra Takaful MyLadies and Digital Faraid Calculator initiatives last week, in conjunction with the Terengganu Financial Literacy Carnival 2026.

President and chief executive officer Datuk Khairul Kamarudin said women are playing an increasingly important role not only within the family, but also as economic contributors and financial decision-makers.

“At Bank Muamalat, we believe every woman deserves financial protection that supports their aspirations, well-being and future security.

“M-Zahra Takaful MyLadies was developed not merely as an insurance product, but as a comprehensive solution that understands the life journey and needs of today’s women,” he said in a statement.

Khairul added that the launch of the Digital Faraid Calculator reflects Bank Muamalat’s commitment to strengthening Islamic financial literacy by providing more accessible and practical syariah-compliant digital solutions.

“Good estate planning not only helps ensure assets are distributed fairly according to syariah, but it also plays an important role in preserving family harmony and providing peace of mind to heirs in the future,” he said.

M-Zahra Takaful MyLadies is specifically designed to support women at every stage of life by providing financial protection, medical benefits, savings, and legacy planning that align with the aspirations and lifestyles of modern women.

Meanwhile, the Digital Faraid Calculator has been introduced to help the Muslim community make preliminary estate distribution calculations easily, quickly, and accurately in accordance with faraid principles and syariah. — Bernama
