PETALING JAYA: Tealive and Dutch Lady Malaysia have launched a ready-to-drink (RTD) dairy beverage range as part of a collaboration to expand the availability of cafe-style drinks through retail channels.

In a joint statement, the companies said the collaboration introduces two products — MooTea (Signature Milk Tea) and MeowCha (Signature Matcha) — which are now available nationwide.

Loob Holding Sdn Bhd founder and chief executive officer Bryan Loo said the RTD segment enables the company to reach consumers through existing retail networks beyond its café outlets.

He said the move is part of Tealive's strategy to expand its presence in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) market.

“Unlike opening additional outlets, FMCG and RTD enable Tealive to scale nationally through existing retail infrastructure, allowing the brand to reach consumers in locations where standalone stores may not be commercially viable.

“It is also a natural progression of our long-term strategy to build Tealive into a broader lifestyle brand. Together with Dutch Lady, we are making some of our most loved flavours available in a format that consumers can enjoy wherever they are, while combining the strengths of both brands to create something new for the market,” Loo said.

Founded in 2017, Tealive operates more than 1,000 outlets across 12 countries.

Dutch Lady Malaysia managing director Veronika Utami said the collaboration supports the company's efforts to expand dairy consumption through new product formats while strengthening its presence in the out-of-home segment.

“Consumers today are looking for products that combine convenience, enjoyment and nutritional value. This collaboration brings together trusted dairy nutrition and flavours that Malaysians already know and love in a format that fits modern lifestyles.

“It also reflects our ambition to bring dairy into more moments throughout the day and make it more relevant to evolving consumer lifestyles. By combining our dairy expertise with Tealive's beverage innovation, we are creating products that consumers can enjoy with confidence while continuing to deliver quality nutrition,” she said.

The beverages are manufactured at Dutch Lady's facility in Bandar Enstek.

The products are available at Jaya Grocer, more than 3,000 99 Speedmart outlets, as well as supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide.
