EI Power bags RM90mil data centre contract


With the latest contract, EIP’s unbilled order book stands at RM222.5mil.

PETALING JAYA: EI Power Bhd’s (EIP) wholly owned subsidiary, EI Power Technologies Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM90.1mil works subcontract agreement (WSA) for a data centre project in Johor.

In a statement, the power engineering solutions provider said the subcontract was awarded by a main contractor principally involved in engineering, construction and investment holding.

However, the identity of the contractor was not disclosed due to confidentiality obligations under the agreement.

The scope covers the complete fuel system package for the data centre in Johor, encompassing supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning. Works commenced upon acceptance of the WSA, with completion scheduled in September 2027.

With the latest contract, EIP’s unbilled order book stands at RM222.5mil, providing earnings visibility over the project’s tenure.
