CIDB appoints Ahmad Farrin as new chief executive

KUALA LUMPUR: The Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) has appointed Ahmad Farrin Mokhtar as its new chief executive effective June 8, succeeding Zainora Zainal who retired on Jan 15.

"His career spans a wide range of responsibilities including industry policy development, corporate management, enforcement, business development, international relations, and capacity building for Malaysia’s construction sector.

"He has played a pivotal role in shaping CIDB’s strategic direction, contributing to the CIDB Strategic Plan 2021-2025 and driving initiatives under the National Construction Policy 2030 in collaboration with the Works Ministry,” CIDB said in a statement.

The appointment letter was formally presented by Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi at his office in Kuala Lumpur. - Bernama
