GD in RM45mil commercial property buy

PETALING JAYA: Golden Destinations Group Bhd (GD) plans to acquire commercial and office properties in Kuala Lumpur for RM45mil, as part of its strategy to establish a new centralised headquarters following its listing on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market in April.

The travel services group announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Ice Holidays Sdn Bhd, had entered into agreements with Liberty General Insurance Bhd to acquire 11 strata-titled parcels within Menara Liberty for RM42.75mil and the adjacent two- storey Menara Liberty Annex building for RM2.25mil.

The acquisitions will be fully funded through proceeds raised from GD’s initial public offering, which had earmarked RM50mil for the acquisition and renovation of a new headquarters.
