Packaging unit lifts Scientex 3Q net profit

The company declared a dividend of six sen per share, payable on July 17.

PETALING JAYA: Scientex Bhd has reported a stronger third-quarter (3Q) net profit of RM142.17mil, up 14.8% year-on-year (y-o-y), as higher operating profit from its packaging business offset weaker contributions from the property segment.

For the 3Q ended April 30, 2026, revenue rose 0.66% y-o-y to RM1.12bil.

Operating profit from the packaging segment more than doubled to RM73.2mil, driven by improved market sentiment, better margins and an optimised product mix.

However, operating profit from the property segment declined to RM129.5mil from RM143mil, mainly due to the timing of several new project launches scheduled for the coming quarter.

Earnings per share rose to 9.14 sen.

The company also declared a dividend of six sen per share, payable on July 17.

The latest quarterly results brought Scientex’s cumulative nine-month net profit to RM420.26mil, up 11.6% from a year ago. Revenue rose 2.5% to RM3.41bil.
