Muhibbah bags RM300mil EPCC contract


PETALING JAYA: Muhibbah Engineering (M) Bhd has secured a contract from Lumut Maritime Terminal Sdn Bhd for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) of LNG Regasification Terminal 3’s marine structure and ancillary works to the Lumut Maritime Terminal 2 in Perak, worth RM300mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the contract is scheduled to commence in May 2026 and is expected to be completed by July 1, 2028.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of Muhibbah Engineering during the contract period for the current and following financial years.

“The contract does not have any impact on the share capital and/or shareholding structure of Muhibbah Engineering,” it noted.

The company added that the contract is within the normal ordinary business scope of Muhibbah Group, and is not expected to expose it to any new risks other than those through its existing businesses.
