KUALA LUMPUR: YTL Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cloud has officially achieved the NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud status, making it one of the first cloud infrastructure providers in Asia to earn this validation, placing it within an elite tier of global hyperscalers and AI-specialised clouds.

In a statement, YTL said the NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud initiative is a highly rigorous operational and architectural blueprint designed to reduce the variance and performance degradation often found in public cloud environments.

The recognition validates that the cloud provider’s infrastructure meets or exceeds NVIDIA’s stringent performance, efficiency, and scalability targets, it said.

"Being one of the first NVIDIA Exemplar Clouds in Asia shows that we have the talent and infrastructure to lead in building a sovereign, world-class AI infrastructure that performs at the same level as the leading hyperscalers globally,” said YTL Power International managing director, Datuk Seri Yeoh Seok Hong.

Meanwhile, YTL AI Cloud chief executive officer, Philip Lin said achieving the NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud status validates the organisation's ability to handle the most intensive, real-world AI workloads, reducing operational and infrastructure risk so that the customers can focus on their core business objectives.

According to YTL, this validation also ensures that enterprise customers achieve deterministic, predictable performance against NVIDIA benchmarking recipes, baselines, and reference workload expectations, maximising return on infrastructure spend.

The achievement reinforces YTL AI Cloud’s position as a leading provider of AI infrastructure and expands access to advanced AI computing capabilities for businesses, researchers, developers and public sector organisations across Malaysia and the wider region, it said.

NVIDIA Solutions Architecture and Engineering vice-president, Marc Hamilton, said that the YTL AI Cloud, which is built to NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP) Reference Architecture standards, will help advance sovereign AI adoption, frontier model development, scientific research and innovation across the region.

Since the introduction of Exemplar Cloud last year, six NCPs have achieved Exemplar Cloud status, namely CoreWeave, Crusoe, Lambda, Nebius, Vultr and YTL AI Cloud.

"The growing roster reflects increasing demand for AI cloud infrastructure that can deliver consistent performance, reliability and efficiency for production AI workloads.

"These providers are helping raise the performance bar across the AI cloud ecosystem, giving enterprises, developers and AI labs more validated options for scaling training, inference and agentic AI services,” it added. - Bernama
