Notion VTec to dispose of industrial land in Johor for RM27.3mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Notion VTEC Bhd has proposed to dispose of a vacant freehold industrial land in Johor for RM27.32mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the precision component producer said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Notion International (M) Sdn Bhd, had entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Heptagon Photonics Malaysia Sdn Bhd for the disposal. The land, measuring about 12,689 sq m in Kawasan Perindustrian SiLC, Iskandar Puteri, Johor, is currently vacant and held under freehold tenure.

Heptagon Photonics Malaysia is principally engaged in the manufacture of components for electronic applications, consumer electronics and optical instruments and equipment.

Notion VTec said the land was acquired in February 2018 for RM10.93mil and had an audited net book value of RM11.57mil as at Sept 30, 2025. It said the proposed disposal is expected to result in a net gain of about RM13.7mil and contribute positively to its net assets per share, earnings per share and gearing upon completion.

The proposed disposal is expected to be completed by February 2027.
