Proton e.MAS sales surge 329.5% as Pro-Net expands retail network

KUALA LUMPUR: Pro-Net, the distribution and sales arm for Proton New Energy Vehicles (NEV), is expanding its nationwide retail network after Proton e.MAS sales surged 329.5% in the first four months of 2026.

In a statement, the company said 11,617 Proton e.MAS units were delivered nationwide during the first four months of 2026, driven by demand for its electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle range.

Pro-Net has opened two new Proton e.MAS outlets this month, including one along Jalan Sultan Ismail in Kuala Lumpur and another at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

Both outlets feature Proton e.MAS’ new corporate identity, which includes updated showroom designs, digital features and customer touchpoints aimed at improving the retail and ownership experience.

It said the refreshed corporate identity reflects the brand’s transition from an emerging EV player into a more established mobility ecosystem supported by sales and after-sales services.

Currently, Proton e.MAS operates 53 sales outlets nationwide, supported by about 1,600 employees across sales, servicing and administration.

“The rapid growth of Proton e.MAS in Malaysia is driven not only by the strength of our product lineup, but also by the confidence customers have in our sales and after-sales ecosystem,” Pro-Net chief executive officer Zhang Qiang said.

“By establishing a strong support structure alongside every model launch, we can give customers greater reassurance about the long-term ownership experience while strengthening brand loyalty and advocacy

“We target to continue expanding our outlet network and as we do so, Proton e.MAS will be able to reach more potential EV buyers while delivering a higher standard of customer care and convenience,” he added.

The new corporate identity will be introduced gradually across existing and future Proton e.MAS outlets nationwide.
