Censof unit bags RM18mil MAIWP deal


PETALING JAYA: Censof Holdings Bhd’s subsidiary, Century Software (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, has bagged a RM17.8mil contract from the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) to develop an accounting system based on Islamic accounting standards.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing yesterday, Censof said the project is for a period of five years, commencing on June 1, 2026 until May 31, 2031.

There is no renewal option upon its expiry.

“The board of directors is of the view that the project is in the best interest of the company and its subsidiaries, and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of the group for the financial year ending March 31, 2027, onwards.”

In a separate statement, Censof said the project aims to enhance governance, transparency, and operational efficiency in managing Baitulmal operations.
