Metronic sells Shah Alam property

PETALING JAYA: Metronic Global Bhd plans to dispose of a freehold industrial property in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, for RM9.42mil as part of efforts to improve cash flow and streamline operations.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Metronic Engineering Sdn Bhd, had entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Twin Hydraulics Engineering Sdn Bhd for the proposed disposal.

The property comprises a 23,838 sq ft freehold industrial land together with a three-storey semi-detached factory with a built-up area of 25,112 sq ft.

The property, located at No 2, Jalan Astaka U8/83, has a combined net book value of about RM7.64mil.

Metronic said the sale consideration was arrived at on a “willing buyer and willing seller” basis after considering prices of similar properties in the surrounding area.
