Pos Malaysia unit secures RM100mil revolving credit facility from Maybank Islamic

KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Pos Ar-Rahnu Sdn Bhd, has secured a short-term revolving credit-i facility of up to RM100mil from Maybank Islamic Bhd.

“The facility is intended for general corporate and internal group funding purposes.

“Pos Malaysia will execute a corporate guarantee of RM100mil in favour of Maybank Islamic in respect of the facility,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The facility includes conditions requiring Pos Ar-Rahnu to remain a subsidiary of Pos Malaysia throughout the tenure of the financing, as well as restrictions on dividend payments or advances without prior consent from the financier.

Pos Malaysia said the facility is not expected to have any significant impact on its earnings per share, net assets per share, share capital or substantial shareholders’ shareholdings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026.
