KUALA LUMPUR: MBSB Bank Bhd has entered into a 10-year strategic bancatakaful service agreement with FWD Takaful Bhd to promote and market takaful products.

Under the partnership, FWD Takaful will leverage MBSB Bank’s customer base, branch network and sales force, enabling the Islamic bank to expand its product offering and deliver greater value to its customers.

MBSB Group chief executive officer (CEO) Rafe Haneef said the collaboration provides FWD Takaful with a stronger platform to expand its solutions through the bank’s growing consumer franchise, resulting in a more comprehensive proposition across wealth, protection and long-term financial planning.

“It reinforces the wealth and protection proposition we are building at MBSB Bank, while giving FWD Takaful a stronger platform to extend its solutions through a growing consumer franchise,” he said in a statement yesterday.

FWD Malaysia country CEO Aman Chowla said the collaboration is a step towards expanding access to inclusive and customer-centric takaful solutions, and it would combine the company’s digital innovation and protection expertise with MBSB Bank’s ecosystem to deliver affordable protection for Malaysians. — Bernama
