KUALA LUMPUR: 118 Mall, developed by PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Bhd, is set to open in August at the Merdeka 118 precinct, with more than 70% of its retail space already committed.
The mall, located within the historic Merdeka 118 precinct and a short walk from Petaling Street, Stadium Merdeka and Stadium Negara, is in its final stages of preparation as tenants begin interior fit-outs.
In a statement, PNB Merdeka Ventures said a key feature of 118 Mall is the Malaysian Artisan District, an 80,000 sq ft space focused on local food, craft and retail.
At its centre is the 40,000 sq ft Makanizm Food Hall on Level 3, positioned as a culinary destination showcasing Malaysia’s food scene.
The tenant mix includes food and beverage operators such as Kenny Hills Cafe, ZUS Coffee, Eight Ounce Coffee, Oriental Kopi, Serai Premium, Dolly DimSum and Cili Kampung. Retail brands include Skechers, Decathlon, Habib Jewels, Coach, Hackett London, Cole Haan, Asics and LiNing. Village Grocer, HappiKiddo and Babyshop will serve as family-oriented anchors, alongside SOGO118.
In addition, an event space known as The Atmosphere, spanning 20,000 sq ft and featuring an 88m glass dome, will host public events and activities.
“Merdeka 118 is shaping up to be a global precinct and one of Kuala Lumpur’s most exciting new destinations, bringing together a vibrant mix of attractions and experiences in one iconic address,” PNB Merdeka Ventures CEO Datuk Ir. Ts. Izwan Hasli Ibrahim said.
“At the heart of it, 118 Mall plays an important role in completing the precinct experience, connecting retail, hospitality, culture, community and landmark attractions into a destination that feels dynamic, seamless and uniquely Malaysian.
“With over 70% of our retail space already committed, we are excited to contribute to the ‘Visit Malaysia 2026’ calendar by offering a world-class experience,” he added.
Meanwhile, 118 Mall head of retail Sue Wang said: “It is incredibly exciting to see the mall come to life as our tenants move in. We have been very intentional about creating a mix that feels connected to this specific part of Kuala Lumpur. 118 Mall is the heartbeat of the Merdeka 118 precinct, it gives our retailers a meaningful stage to shine and ensures the mall feels vibrant and welcoming to all.”
