KUALA LUMPUR: Manulife Malaysia has launched Manulife MultiCI Enrich (MME), a multi-stage critical illness solution designed to support Malaysians from early detection through to long-term recovery.

In a statement, the insurer said the new plan reflects changing health realities, where people are living longer but increasingly face recurring or progressive illnesses, alongside rising medical costs and more complex treatment pathways.

MME offers multi-stage, multi-claim coverage up to age 99, for recurring or progressive conditions, and by integrating preventive and personalised health tools to help Malaysians stay healthier for longer.

“The experience of a critical illness is rarely a single moment. It is a journey that could unfold over many years,” chief executive officer Vibha Coburn said.

“With MME, we’re addressing the real nature of critical illnesses, which may recur and evolve over time. By combining multi-claim protection with innovations such as pharmacogenomics insights, early multicancer detection and caregiver support, we are committed to standing by Malaysians at every step of their health journey,” she added.

The launch is underpinned by findings from Manulife’s Asia Care Survey 2025, which showed that Malaysians are increasingly prioritising quality of life, with seven in 10 recognising that financial well-being plays a key role in maintaining long-term health.

Manulife said the plan also integrates preventive and personalised health tools, including pharmacogenomics support to guide medication choices, reimbursement for multi-cancer early detection tests, and caregiver support for Alzheimer’s disease and severe dementia.
