AirAsia X proposes name change to AirAsia Group


KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) has proposed to change its name to AirAsia Group Bhd, subject to shareholder approval.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, AAX said the reservation of the proposed name “AirAsia Group Bhd” was approved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) on Feb 24.

The proposed change of name is subject to approval by shareholders at the company’s forthcoming 19th annual general meeting, with a circular detailing the proposal to be issued in due course.

AAX said the name change, if approved, will take effect upon the issuance of the notice of registration of the new name by the CCM.
