Ocean Fresh receives additional tax assessments


KUALA LUMPUR: Ocean Fresh Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Ocean Fresh Seafood Products Sdn Bhd, has received notices of additional assessments from the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB) amounting to a total of RM4.18mil for the years 2021 to 2024.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the frozen seafood company said the assessments comprised RM742,546.91 for 2021, RM567,128.11 for 2022, RM2,073,042.90 for 2023, and RM793,421.34 for 2024.

“The company is currently seeking legal advice and evaluating its legal options, which may include initiating a formal appeal to the IRB,” it said.
