Hibiscus set to weather West Asia tensions

PETALING JAYA: Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd is well positioned to weather global geopolitical tensions and the ongoing conflict in West Asia, including uncertainty as a result of high crude oil prices.

Chairman Zainul Rahim Mohd Zain said the company would continue to operate in a disciplined and responsible manner to ensure sustainable value for all stakeholders.

“Therefore, we must always be vigilant in anticipating the challenges that lie ahead and be prepared to deal with them accordingly,” he said at the Hibiscus Petroleum Hari Raya Open House in Kota Baru yesterday.

Zainul Rahim said that from an environmental, social and governance perspective, Hibiscus has implemented the “Rig to Reef” initiative in collaboration with PETRONAS and the Fisheries Department, which is a project to convert the decommissioned South Angsi Alpha platform into an artificial reef off the coast of Terengganu. — Bernama
