Affin Bank's Pheim AM acquisition gets SC nod for change of controller


KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Bank Bhd has obtained approval from the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) for the change of controller to meet the conditions for its proposed RM50 million acquisition of Pheim Asset Management Sdn Bhd (Pheim AM).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the bank said the approval was granted on April 13, 2026, for the change in the controller of Pheim AM, Pheim Islamic Asset Management Sdn Bhd, and Pheim Unit Trusts Bhd pursuant to the proposed acquisition.

The bank noted that the approval is subject to any conditions imposed by the SC. - Bernama
