Bumi Armada CEO Christenson steps down


PETALING JAYA: Bumi Armada Bhd has announced that Gary Neal Christenson has stepped down as chief executive officer (CEO) and as a member of the company’s board of directors, as well as from its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities, with immediate effect.

In a statement, the offshore oilfield services provider said Christenson, whose term as CEO was due to expire on May 15, 2026, had requested an early release.

“Consequent to this, the board of directors of Bumi Armada is pleased to announce that Luke Targett, chief financial officer, and Alex Bridgen, chief operating officer, will jointly provide overall leadership to the company and be responsible for its performance,” Bumi Armada noted.

The company said they will report to the risk management committee of the Bumi Armada board.

“The Bumi Armada board would like to thank Christenson for his services to the company since May 2018, and wish him the best in his future endeavours,” it added.
