Steel Hawk names Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini chairman


PETALING JAYA: Steel Hawk Bhd has appointed Tan Sri Mohd Annuar Zaini as its chairman with effect from April 1.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said Mohd Annuar, 74, would succeed Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, 64, who had resigned to pursue other commitments.

Steel Hawk said Mohd Annuar currently serves as a board member of the Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial.

He is also chairman of Country Annex Sdn Bhd, MRCB Land Sdn Bhd, Ipoh Sentral Development Sdn Bhd, UDA Holdings Bhd, BBCC Development Sdn Bhd, Metropolitan Utilities Corp Sdn Bhd, 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd and Ekowood International Bhd.

Mohd Annuar is also the ProChancellor of Universiti Malaya and senior adviser of international affairs for the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission.

“Mohd Annuar began his career as an administrative and diplomatic officer in 1977. He served the government at various ministries and departments and also the Perak state government until he chose to take an optional retirement from government service in 1999.”
