Varia wins RM155mil expressway upgrading job


PETALING JAYA: Varia Bhd has accepted a letter of award from Kemuncak Pesaka Sdn Bhd to conduct upgrading works to the Pasir Gudang Expressway, worth RM155mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the construction firm said the upgrading works will stretch from the Perling elevated interchange to the North-South Expressway Exit, Pasir Gudang, Johor.

The company said the job will comprise the supply of labour, materials, equipment, tools, plant and machineries for the construction and completion of upgrading civil and infrastructure works.

The contract will be for a period of 36 months, from the commencement date on Dec 3, 2025 until Dec 2, 2028.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Varia Group for the relevant financial periods within the duration of the contract.

“The contract will not have any effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of Varia,” it said.
