Hextar Capital says not related to firm mentioned in MACC report

KUALA LUMPUR: Hextar Capital Bhd clarified that it has no relation to a business entity named Opcom Sdn Bhd named in a report filed with the government's anti-corruption agency.

Hextar Capital issued a statement to clear the air on any misunderstanding as the company was formerly known as Opcom Holdings Bhd before it underwent a name change following its acquisition by Hextar Group in 2021.

It made clear that the private company, Opcom Sdn Bhd, mentioned in recent news articles over a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission report is not owned by Hextar Capital nor related in any way to the company.

"Hextar Capital Bhd is a public listed company listed on Bursa Malaysia and remains committed to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance, transparency, and regulatory compliance," it added.
