Wawasan Dengkil bags RM24.8mil data centre subcontract


PETALING JAYA: Wawasan Dengkil Holdings Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Wawasan Dengkil Sdn Bhd (WDSB) has secured a RM24.8mil subcontract from Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd for external works at a hyperscale data centre project in Puncak Alam, Selangor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the construction group said the subcontract involves the construction and completion of road and landscape works for the Hyperscale Data Centre at Eco Business Park V, Puncak Alam, under the SGW1A and 2A Shell and Core package.

Works are scheduled to commence on May 15, 2026, with trade completion targeted for Dec 1, 2026 for Phase 1 and March 31, 2027 for Phase 2.

Substantial completion is set for Feb 28, 2027 for Phase 1 and Sept 1, 2027 for Phase 2.

The defect liability period will be 36 months for Phase 1 and 30 months for Phase 2 from the date of issuance of the certificate of substantial completion under the main contract.

Wawasan said the contract is expected to contribute positively to its net assets per share, earnings per share and gearing throughout the project duration. It will not have any impact on the company’s share capital or substantial shareholders’ shareholdings.
