PETALING JAYA: Axis Real Estate Investment Trust
(Axis-REIT) has announced that a fire incident which occurred at a furniture factory in Sea Park, here on Feb 8, 2026, has partially affected Wisma Kemajuan – a property owned by the company.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Axis-REIT said the property is located adjacent to the said factory.
“The incident resulted in partial damage to Wisma Kemajuan. There were no injuries or casualties reported in relation to the property.
“Axis-REIT has adequate fire takaful and also fire consequential loss policy in place for Wisma Kemajuan.”
Axis-REIT said Wisma Kemajuan only contributes 1.4% of Axis-REIT’s total revenue.
“Accordingly, the manager expects the financial impact arising from this incident on the net property income and total asset value of Axis-REIT to be immaterial.
“Nevertheless, the fire consequential loss policy covers for loss of rental during the repair period.”
