CPE Technology profit falls on lower production

PETALING JAYA: CPE Technology Bhd’s net profit for its second quarter ended Dec 31, 2025, plunged to RM1.8mil from RM10.47mil in the corresponding quarter a year ago, due to lower production activities and increased overhead costs such as labour and utilities.

In a filing, the firm said revenue fell to RM25.16mil from RM33.2mil a year ago.

The group did not experience a meaningful rebound in near-term semiconductor production demand, as customers continued to adopt conservative purchasing and inventory approaches. However, engagement with semiconductor customers remained strong in strategic areas.

For the six-month period ended Dec 31, 2025, the company’s net profit slipped to RM5.15mil from RM12.75mil, while revenue fell to RM50.59mil from RM62.49mil.
