Sapura Industrial subsidiary inks supply agreement with lithium battery manufacturer


KUALA LUMPUR: Sapura Industrial Bhd (SIB) via its 51%-owned sub-subsidiary SIB ZZT Sdn Bhd has executed an agreement for the supply of products and materials by SIB ZZT to EVE Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

It said in a stock exchange filing, SIB ZZT shall supply the precision structural components and related materials to EVE Malaysia for the production of prismatic lithium batteries at EVE Malaysia’s

new facility in Kulim, Kedah.

According to SIB, the supply agreement represents a strategic step in its diversification into the energy storage and battery ecosystem, which supports its export-oriented manufacturing initiative.

It added that the initiative enhances access to new market opportunities and reinforces SIB’s position as a trusted growth partner in advanced industrial manufacturing in Malaysia and the region.
