Haily Group bags RM48.2mil Johor construction contract

KUALA LUMPUR: Haily Group Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Haily Construction Sdn Bhd has secured a RM48.2mil construction contract for a residential development in Johor, from Gunung Impian Development Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the contract involves the construction of 113 units of double-storey terrace houses at Zone 10D4, Taman Impian Emas, Mukim Tebrau, Johor Bahru.

Construction is divided into three sections, all commencing on Feb 23, 2026.

The first two sections, which include a new electrical substation, a show house and a mock-up home, are scheduled for completion within six months by Aug 22, 2026.

The main section, involving the construction of 111 units of double-storey terrace houses along with related infrastructure and landscaping works, is targeted for completion by Oct 22, 2027.

For each section, the defect liability period will be 26 months from the issuance of the certificate of practical completion.

Haily expects the project to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets over the duration of the works, barring any material delays.
