Powerwell wins RM68mil data centre purchase order

PETALING JAYA: Powerwell Holdings Bhd has received a purchase order (PO) in relation to a data centre in Selangor, worth RM68.47mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the electricity distribution products firm said the customer for the PO was “one of the leading multinational technology corporations specialising in data centres.”

Powerwell said the scope of the PO will involve the design, procurement, delivery, testing and commissioning of low voltage switchgears.

“The PO is expected to be fulfilled by the second quarter of calendar year 2026.

“The PO is expected to contribute positively to Powerwell’s consolidated earnings and net assets from the financial year ending March 31, 2026 until the financial year ending March 31, 2027.”

Powerwell said it does not foresee any exceptional risks other than the normal operational risks associated with the PO, adding that it will take the necessary steps to mitigate the risks.
