Haily Group bags contract, terminates another

PETALING JAYA: Haily Group Bhd has secured a major residential construction contract in Johor, even as it confirmed the termination of an older, smaller project that is no longer proceeding.

The group said its wholly owned subsidiary, Haily Construction Sdn Bhd, had accepted a letter of award from Arkitek N. Kang on behalf of Setia Indah Sdn Bhd for construction works at Taman Setia Tropika, Johor Baru, with a total contract value of RM97.99mil.

The project covers the construction of 108 units of affordable double-storey townhouses under the Residensi Lili development, and 203 units of double-storey terrace houses at Summera Grove, as well as external infrastructure works.

This includes roads, drainage, utilities, substations, landscaping and perimeter fencing.

Construction is scheduled to commence on Dec 22, 2025, with completion targeted for June 21, 2027.

The group said the contract is expected to contribute positively to its earnings and net assets over the project duration, with no issuance of new shares involved.

Separately, Haily Construction acknowledged the mutual termination of a RM9.41mil contract for shop office construction in Kulai, Johor, after the anticipated commencement date lapsed.

The termination is not expected to have any material financial impact on the group.
