MIDF, IACSA ink agreement to advance IP valuation

KUALA LUMPUR: MIDF Bhd and the Intangible Assets Commercialisation and Strategy Association (IACSA) have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen Malaysia’s intellectual property-driven innovation ecosystem.

MIDF Bhd is a unit of Islamic bank MBSB Bhd.

MBSB said the agreement signed during the IACSA roundtable on valuations and the financing of intellectual property (IP) aims to establish a structured and trusted approach to IP valuation and financing, supporting the country’s transition towards an economy led by innovation and intangible assets.

“The collaboration formalises a division of roles, with IACSA acting as a neutral partner that brings together industry, academia, valuation professionals, policymakers, investors and international networks, while MIDF supports and advances IP-based financing initiatives as part of its developmental mandate,” MBSB said. — Bernama
