KUALA LUMPUR: TechStore Bhd said its wholly-owned subsidiary Tech-Store Malaysia Sdn Bhd has accepted a contract from Prasarana Malaysia Bhd for the provision of a digital radio and on-board live detection system for the Kelana Jaya LRT Line (Option 2 - New Digital Radio with New On-Board Communication System) for RM89.68mil.

The group said the contract period would be 30 months from the date stipulated from the notice to proceed to be issued by Prasarana.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the letter of award is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of TechStore and its subsidiaries.

TechStore managing director Tan Hock Lim (Eugene Tan) said the group's outlook remains promising, supported by the national development priorities under the 13th Malaysia Plan and the Budget 2026, which designates over RM12bil for transport modernisation.

"These initiatives reinforce the nation’s ambition to build a safer and future-ready mobility network. Our expertise in both brownfield and greenfield rail technology projects positions us well to support Malaysia’s evolving mobility landscape,” he said in a statement.

As at Sept 30, 2025, TechStore recorded an unbilled order book of RM106.6mil, excluding this latest award.

The group’s tender book has also grown to RM1.9bil, reflecting strong traction across railway projects and government-sector enterprise IT solutions.
