MSC restarts mining at Rahman Hydraulic Tin

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Smelting Corporation Bhd (MSC) has resumed mining operations at its 80%-owned subsidiary, Rahman Hydraulic Tin Sdn Bhd (RHT), effective Dec 4, 2025.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the restart follows the temporary suspension announced on Nov 20, 2025.

It was reported earlier that the mine had been instructed by Perak regulators to suspend operations for three weeks amid a probe into river discolouration.

In the nine months to Sept 30, MSC posted a net profit of RM42mil, or earnings per share of 5.00 sen on revenue of RM1.28bil.
