Wasco bags three-year procurement and construction job

PETALING JAYA: Wasco Bhd has secured a contract from Italy-based Technip Energies Italy S.p.A. to complete the procurement and construction of pre-assembled modules on a remeasurement basis.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the engineering services firm said the contract is expected to bring revenue between RM619.4mil to RM825.8mil throughout the contract period.

“The work and services of the contract are expected to be completed within 37 months,” it said.

Wasco said the work and services to be performed under the contract are within the business scope of the engineering division of the group and the risks are the normal operational risks associated with the said business.

It added that the contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of the group over the contract period.

“The contract is project-specific and is not renewable,” the company said.
