UEM Sunrise sees jump in revenue in third quarter

PETALING JAYA: UEM Sunrise Bhd posted a 19.6% decline in net profit to RM18.49mil for the third quarter ended Sept 30 from RM22.99mil a year ago dragged by higher finance costs and income tax expenses, partly offset by improved operating margins and increased contributions from joint ventures and associates.

This was despite registering a 13% jump in revenue to RM417.76mil in 3Q25 from RM369.33mil a year ago.

For the nine months just ended, its net profit rose to RM61.39mil from RM50mil a year earlier while revenue surged to RM1.28bil from RM799.51mil.

The company said it has surpassed its full-year sales target ahead of schedule, achieving RM1.08bil in property sales against its RM1.05bil target.

It pointed out that unbilled sales remained healthy at RM2.1bil, providing earnings visibility over the next 18 to 36 months.

UEM Sunrise’s net gearing improved from 0.43 times to 0.38 times, the lowest since 2019, while cash and bank balances including short-term investments rose 47% year-on-year.

Its newly-appointed managing director and chief executive officer of UEM Sunrise, Shaharul Farez Hassan, said the results reflect consistent operational discipline and sustained demand across regions.

“Surpassing our full-year sales target ahead of the fourth quarter underscores the strength of our portfolio offerings and the commitment of our people.
