Bursa Malaysia derivatives trading halted due to Globex system outage


KUALA LUMPUR:Trading on Bursa Malaysia’s derivatives market was halted after 10.36am today due to an outage in the Globex system, the electronic trading platform of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group.

"All Bursa Malaysia’s derivatives products traded on Globex are affected. 

"We are actively managing the situation and are working with CME Group to restore services as quickly as possible. Our priority is to minimise impact and ensure market integrity," said the stock exchange operator in a statement.

It said it would continue to provide updates to all stakeholders.
