Malaysia Airlines, Trip.Biz in pact to enhance travel solutions for SME

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines and Trip.com group’s business travel unit Trip.Biz have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deliver enhanced business travel solutions to small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) across key business travel markets in Asia, Europe, and other regions globally.

In a statement today, Trip.com said the partnership marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration that will enable Trip.Biz customers to seamlessly access Malaysia Airlines’ MHcorporate SME programme, positioning the carrier as a preferred partner on the Trip.Biz global booking platform.

"Under the MoU, Malaysia Airlines intends to provide Trip.Biz with access to its MHcorporate SME fares across 25 markets and International Air Transport Association (IATA) locations, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

"The parties also intend to establish Malaysia Airlines as a preferred airline partner on the Trip.Biz platform, with opportunities to reach and engage SME clients globally,” it said today.

Trip.com said Trip.Biz may also support the MHcorporate SME programme through activities such as promoting client enrolment and exploring the feasibility of integrating an application programming interface between the MHcorporate portal and Trip.Biz’s online booking tool, enabling greater accessibility and efficiency for business travellers.

Meanwhile, Trip.Biz chief executive officer Tao Song said the partnership reflects their shared goal of enabling smarter, more efficient, and cost-effective business travel solutions for SMEs as they expand internationally through their platform.

"By combining Malaysia Airlines’ global network and customer service excellence with Trip.Biz’s digital innovation and business travel expertise, both parties aim to create a more connected, customer-centric travel ecosystem that supports businesses of all sizes in achieving their growth ambitions,” he said.

MHcorporate SME is Malaysia Airlines’ dedicated travel programme designed for SMEs, offering corporate-level travel benefits with no minimum spend required, while providing flexible fare options, exclusive discounts, simplified account management, and other value-added privileges.

It also aims to make business travel more affordable and convenient for growing enterprises, enabling them to manage travel budgets effectively while enjoying Malaysia Airlines’ renowned Malaysian hospitality and extensive global network. - Bernama
