AWC gets extension to government concession

KUALA LUMPUR: AWC Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Ambang Wira Sdn Bhd (AWSB), has secured a one-year extension to its expiring 10-year government concession for building support services worth RM63.7mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the Works Ministry (KKR) issued a letter dated Nov 4, 2025 confirming that the concession, originally set to end on Dec 31, 2025, will be extended from Jan 1, 2026 to Dec 31, 2026.

KKR also enclosed a fair copy of the interim agreement relating to the privatisation agreement for building support services in the Southern Zone and Sarawak Zone. The agreement will take effect once signed by both AWSB and the government.
